The Sidney United Way with financial support from the Sidney Chamber of Commerce and the Sidney Alumni Association will sponsor the First annual Youth Day of Caring in Sidney this Saturday, November 3 from 10 to 12.
The program is set up for our high school aged youth to volunteer their time to work on various community service projects. Sign up sheets and information on the various service projects have been provided at the Sidney High School this week. If your child has not signed up for a service project at school, it is still not too late. , We will provide service assignments at the Pavilion by the walking tail at 9:30 am. Saturday morning.
Transportation to and pick up of your child from each project is the responsibility of the parent. There will be supervision at each of the venues.
Adults who may be interested in helping with the event can sign up at 9 a.m. at the Pavilion by the walking trail at Keith Clark Park.
We hope that the event will provide our youth with opportunities to do community service and help make Sidney a special place to live. Please make sure each youth signs in at your venue as the community service will be counted for the Service for Caring Pride Award at the high school.
